Scarsdale Edgemont Girl Scouts honor local veterans

On Veterans Day, the troop offered their thanks—and Gril Scout cookies!—to the men and women who served.

A pledge and a parade The Scarsdale Edgemont Girl Scouts were part of Scarsdale’s Veterans Day parade.

On Veterans Day, Scarsdale Edgemont Girl Scouts from kindergarten through 12th grade delivered cookies and handmade cards to over 230 veterans living in Scarsdale and Edgemont. This long-standing tradition began as a Gold Award project many years ago. The Girl Scouts also participated in the Scarsdale Veterans Day parade and distributed cookies to all veterans present at the festivities.  Any veterans who did not receive a Girl Scout visit should email joinsegs@gmail.com to be added to the list for next year.

Ding-dong! Cookies calling! Two members of the Scarsdale Edgemont Girl Scouts delivered Girl Scout cookies to our heroic veterans.
